Journaling Series: 4th Log

What would you say to your younger self, your older self and yourself right now?

As common as this question might be, I find it very needed and since they are from us to ourselves; truth is to be expected in this matter. We all need to tell ourselves some things whether they are advices or pep talks or anything at all, we are too often than not caught up in the vortex of our lives that we are too under the water to see where the stream is taking us, so let’s take a moment, let’s talk for a minute.

To my younger self; I would say that the sooner you accept change the better it is for you, life isn’t perfect but it has very few perfect moments and you need to enjoy those fully, you are not as objective as you think you are but that’s okay because you need all the lessons that you will get, I applaud you for being who you are, for being strong, for believing in yourself and for standing up for what you believed in, life is hard but you managed to handle it with difficulty yes, but with help you got through it, you are still learning and sometimes the lesson would feel like it’s repeated but trust me it isn’t, to my ever younger self thank you for your bad moments, good moments and everything in between.

To my older self, hello, I hope that you are doing well that you are more objective than ever that you have achieved your goals and on your way to achieve many new ones, I hope that you saw the world, that inspiration knocked on your door many times, I hope that your smile is bigger and fuller than it ever was, I hope you are happy and content, don’t be afraid of change, learn to accept it, learn to want it, and remember that you are strong and that you are independent.

To myself right now, you have some hard work to do on yourself and in your life and if I know you as much as I think I do then I know that you will get there, you are my largest work in progress because you will always be work in progress or else you wouldn’t be you, you are strong even at your weakest, thank you for knowing yourself and for not letting any person define who you are, you are beautiful just the way you are with all your faults and imperfections with all your hope and doubts with all your calmness and madness with every contradiction you have to offer. you are beautiful, and you can achieve your goals, they might change as you change but they will still be achievable with faith that when the time is right Allah will grant you what is good for you and take away what isn’t. You just need to keep working, to keep falling and rising even if you think that you can’t handle another fall you can and you will fall so fall and rise again, rise stronger, rise wiser, rise happier.

This prompt is by me I didn’t get that one from online I just had an idea of it so I wrote it.
I would love to see you guys try this prompt as it is very insightful and we definitely need a moment to tell ourselves everything we want to hear.
