Fearless souls

Sometimes we need the rain to wash our souls
We need this moment of silence so we can hear our hearts
Just listen to them nothing else
We hear music playing
And a song sang about our life our past, present and future
We just listen as we hear the sound of the sea in its shell
We can hear our souls in our breath
Words that mountains couldn’t withstand
Earthquakes, volcanoes everything just came out and burst
Then we trap it all in again
That’s our life
We burst then shove everything back
And as our eyes are being washed by tears
Our souls are being buried with shields
We hide them we burry them out of sight
With not a single clue left behind
We mustn’t know the way back to them
Because if we do we will free them
Which won’t only hurt us it will kill them too
As the world isn’t a place for pure
It’s a world were only the wicked survive
But then and only then we have a choice
What would we do with our hollow bodies?
Would we fill them with light?
Or would we let the darkness eat them away?
No time to make the choice
What would it be?
As the darkness approaches the light shines more
No matter how small you are never fear to glow
And as the small window of choice slips away
It becomes more bright, clear just pure
It knew that it is the chosen one all long
But the question had to be put to answer
And choices must be offered to choose
And as we make that choice
We somehow revive our souls
And they shine brighter than the sun or the stars
Finally our souls are back where the belong
And the darkness is vanquished nowhere to be seen
It’s a battle fought to be won
